Michael Browne (male) is Head of European Research & Innovation at University College London, acting as the designated institutional expert on EU funded R&D&I with a primary focus on Horizon 2020. Michael acts as UCL’s Legal Entity Authorized Representative (LEAR) for all EU research and innovation contracts (in excess of 700 projects totalling more than €350 million). Michal is also an EU national expert & regional rapporteur for Mobilising Institutional Reform in Research & Innovation Systems (MIRRIS), an EU Regional Expert on Horizon 2020, a Steering Group Member of the League of European Research Universities, a member of the Universities UK Sounding Board for Horizon 2020, and Chair of the Vision2020 Network Strategy Board.
